Experiência fantástica: We moved to Cascais in October of 2023. We are an older couple and did not attempt the process alone. We hired both a law firm for both our D-7 Visas and then finalizing our residency cards and to aid in the tax issues of the NHR. We engaged the services of Filipa Santos and her associates through her KW Select - Marquês de Pombal real estate firm. Filipa was the key to starting us on the road to success. Portugal has a requirement that you have already signed a lease on housing to be able to obtain a D-7 appointment to apply for the D-7. There are parameters for the lease arrangement. It must be a year's lease and not a vacation rental etc. The skills she offered from our first Zoom meeting were evident. Without ever leaving our home in the USA we successfully located and leased our Cascais home. When she takes you on a zoom walkthrough of a home, she looks at everything, every drawer, corner etc. She took videos leading up the street and up to the door etc. We felt very confident of our choice. Most importantly, most everyone must do this long distance and the process of signing a lease in Portugal is unlike the USA. It is complicated and you will want help. We were amazed at how flawlessly she performed this assistance. From day one she was most helpful as she recommended us to Joana with PRA - Raposo, Sá Miranda & Associados law firm. Next, someone has to set up the utilities, and lead you through deliveries to your new home; she and her associates aced this process too. Let me add her recommendation on Joana was perfect. We had so much help from the law firm navigating the quirks of the Portuguese immigration agency. We could never have done this process without them. We highly recommend using the firm and of course Filipa. Importantly, you are never forgotten. Long after you are settled in your new home, she reaches out to all her clients and has created a WhatsApp meet and greet group. Every month she arranges a fabulous get-together somewhere in the Lisbon region, including Cascais. She has created a very committed group of clients who now know each other as friends. Plus, many people share helpful information on the app. In addition to being a fabulous real estate relocation specialist she has all the talents of an experienced event planner. Filipa's events for expats are inspired and fun.

Experiência fantástica: I’m in Portugal for 1 year and have worked with two Remax agents before. When I started working with Filipa what became immediately apparent is how different she is. Her process for finding a rental apartment and understanding your needs is militarily precise. She does what she says she will down to tiniest details. A lot of people say it’s “impossible” to find a place in Lisbon. I thought so too. Filipa said it’ll take 2-3 weeks. I couldn’t believe it. But we did. And it matched my specific criteria. Experiência fantástica: My wife and I travelled to Lisbon in April 2023 to get a better understanding of the city and the country, and not least the real estate market. Good friends of ours who had moved to Lisbon a couple of years back recommended us to contact Filapa and her team, and that was probably one of the best advises we have had in relation to our decision to move to Lisbon. From the very first interactions Filipa showed a genuine interest in understanding our requirements and preferences, and she took us around to see a number of properties that met most or all of our criteria and in fact we were ready to place offers on one or two of the properties introduced to us. Circumstances made us change our initial plan of procuring a property, and in December we had reach a conclusion to start up with a lease of a property instead.
